Rob Blanc
Director of Pitching
Originally from Sandy Hook, Connecticut, Rob Blanc is a pitching performance coach whose path was shaped as much by adversity as by competition. After playing collegiately at Franklin Pierce University, he pitched professionally in the Frontier League, navigating multiple shoulder surgeries and the hard-won experience of injury, rehab, and return to the mound.
That experience became the driving force behind his coaching. Rob launched his career at Tread Athletics, helping grow it into a leader in remote player development through R&D, internal system building, and a specialization in return-to-throwing protocols. He later founded Inked Sports Performance, a remote coaching brand working directly with college and professional pitchers on biomechanics, pitch design, and individualized development.
Now at Push Performance as Director of Pitching, Rob builds the internal systems and remote infrastructure that let the throwing department develop pitchers at the highest level, both in the facility and across the country.
Rob holds certifications through the National Academy of Sports Medicine (CPT, PES, FNS), the Brookbush Institute, and Square1, and is committed to helping pitchers understand their physiology, optimize performance, and compete with confidence.

Marcel Renteria
Throwing Coach
Marcel Renteria is a former professional pitcher who brings high-level experience and competitive intensity to every athlete he works with. Having competed at every level of the game, he understands what it takes to progress from amateur baseball to the professional ranks. After pitching at New Mexico State University, he was drafted and developed in the New York Mets organization, gaining firsthand knowledge of advanced pitch design, arm care, and the mental approach required to succeed.

He has quickly built a reputation as a players' coach who combines real playing experience with advanced training knowledge to elevate athletes at every stage of their careers.
As a coach, Marcel focuses on building complete pitchers, developing velocity, efficiency, and confidence while prioritizing long-term durability. His mission is to prepare athletes to compete with discipline and presence at the next level.
Bruce Billings Jr
Throwing Coach
Bruce Billings Jr. brings a professional pitching career spanning more than a decade and three countries to the Push Performance staff.
A San Diego native, he pitched collegiately at San Diego State University, where his arm first drew pro attention — he was selected by the Philadelphia Phillies in the 2006 MLB Draft but chose to return to school, then drafted again by the Colorado Rockies in 2007, the organization he ultimately signed with.
Bruce climbed the Rockies' minor league system and made his Major League debut with Colorado in May 2011. Over the course of his big-league career he pitched for three franchises — the Colorado Rockies, Oakland Athletics, and New York Yankees — competing at the highest level of the sport against the best hitters in the world.
He later took his career overseas to the Chinese Professional Baseball League, where he reestablished himself as a durable, front-line starter. Across three seasons with the Uni-President 7-Eleven Lions and Fubon Guardians, Bruce piled up more than 400 strikeouts, proving both his stuff and his staying power on an international stage.
That full arc — the draft grind, the climb through the minors, the Major League stage, and a successful run abroad — gives Bruce a firsthand understanding of what it takes to build and sustain a pitching career at every level. He brings that hard-earned perspective to the athletes he works with at Push Performance.
